It seems that every decade flaunts a fashion statement, and in the 1920s, the Flapper Girl was the model.
The classic flapper dress was cut straight and loose and left the arms bare. It emphasized simple elegance and the freedom of movement, which made it a favorite among young women who loved to go dancing in nightclubs. Often accessorized with jewels, beads, and sequins, the dress must have been a sight to see as the ladies wearing it whirled around on the dance floor!
